Peas Pulav






Peas Pulav

Ingredients

Onion - 1 medium sized
Green Chilli - 4
Curry Leaves - 4
Ginger and Garlic Paste - 1Tb.
Fried Casuanuts - 8 (broken)
Coriander Leaves - 3T.
Mint Leaves - 2T.
Whole Spices - 1 each.
Basmati Rice - 1 cup.
Peas - 1cup
Coconut Milk - 1cup thick and 1 cup light.(made from 1/4 of a coconut).


Preparation:

Finely slice the onion. And make a paste of the green chilli, coriander leaves, mint leaves, whole spices, and ginger and garlic preground paste or whole as u like. Keep this masala paste ready. Soak the Basmati Rice for half an hour priorly. In a cooker add 3T. of sunflower oil and saute the onion till light brown (never full brown for biryani's and pulav's). Add the required salt. Next add the paste and saute till done. Now add the peas and saute for 1 minute. This make the peas loose its soft texture.Now add the coconut milk. Close and cook for one whistle. Open the cooker and strew some casuanuts on top. Serve hot.
